Design Approach: Redefining Urban Living
Our design philosophy for this exceptional site revolves around the concept of creating large residential blocks set amidst lush gardens, akin to 'villas in a park,' capitalising on the picturesque riverfront. This approach not only pays homage to the broader Woodbridge context but elevates it further. While Pytches Road embodies a similar character, our vision takes the notion of higher density living within a 'garden' to new heights, thoughtfully responding to the site's topography and its unique proximity to Woodbridge's town centre.
Embracing the Autonomous Urban Villa Concept
The concept of the "urban villa" is typically applied in suburban or even rural settings, where the built environment is less dynamic but imbued with greenery. One defining feature of urban villas is their seamless integration with the public environment, blurring the lines between public and private spaces. In our case, these villas take the form of boldly designed canted brick cubes, their structural integrity reinforced by concealed concrete frames adorned with vibrant brick facades.
