Rivers Hospital

Rivers hospital is a project for a new mental healthcare facility on the Hellesdon Hospital Site for Adult Acute admissions, offering assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for people who are at risk that would be unable to be safely managed in their local community.

The Pharmacy

The new Pharmacy at Rivers Hospital Hellesden provides a centralised service for packaging and supplying medication to Trust locations and patients throughout Norfolk and Suffolk.

Catton Ward

An innovative expansion has been strategically placed around a spacious central area, generously illuminated by a stunning roof lantern to maximise the natural light.

Samphire Ward

Hoopers worked with a wide variety of staff, nurses and services users from Acute to Secure and Forensic Services, Wellbeing and Inpatient services and with health and social care services that specialise in a range of mental health care.

Education

Science Labs

Hoopers were commissioned by the Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia to find a space for new Science Classrooms at St Benedicts School in Bury St Edmund’s, Suffolk.

Sixth Form Building

Hoopers planned a stand-alone block containing six general classrooms, a dedicated non-teaching space for group working, together with all the necessary infrastructure for the operation of the new sixth form block.

The Nest

A Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) facility sitting separately from the main school close to the woods and water meadows that the school are custodians over. RIBA Design Award Winner 2023.

New Assembly Hall

The New Assembly Hall at St Louis is nestled within the historic charm of a Victorian three-storey school building dating back to 1897.

Homes

Rushmere Road

A new dwelling replacing an existing detached property on the site suffering from subsidence.

Ambient House

The integration of garden and house becomes a key concept behind the design, blending the line between inside and outside to create simple and easy transition between the two, with the form of the build creating a central courtyard.

College Farm

The ambition of the project has been to create a thoughtful new home that absorbs the rich architectural context of the surrounding buildings and combines them with a contemporary and generous standard of living.

Housing

Melton Hill

Our design philosophy for this exceptional site revolves around the concept of creating large residential blocks set amidst lush gardens, akin to 'villas in a park,' capitalising on the picturesque riverfront.

Chapel Road

Our design for this development encompasses a thoughtful and character-driven approach, comprising ten carefully positioned dwellings that harmoniously blend with the open green belt along Chapel Road.

Grimwade Street Social Housing

Presenting a more open street frontage and a space that helps promote positive social behaviour.

Sport / Community

Bethesda Baptist Church

Hoopers goal has been to harmonise distinct spaces, establish a sheltered and accessible entrance into the church hall, all achieved through a principal controlled gateway into the church complex via a newly created opening.

Lido

Hoopers Architects generated the idea of a Lido as part of an internal case study programme in 2019 looking at imaginative ways to address the concerns Sizewell C would have on tourism across the area.

Ipswich Town Football Club

The South East Corner Project at Portman Road introduces significant breakthroughs, including large vehicle access on the pitch, fortifying the stadium's capacity to host major concert events in the future, and facilitating the installation of a new hybrid playing surface.

Bioline UK Headquarters

Hoopers were commissioned to carry out a feasibility study to analyse the existing office accommodation building and its suitability for future use.

Introducing the Sun Building Project: a dynamic transformation that redefines the iconic space in the heart of the town centre.
